ISPO 2011 is the nth demonstration and confirmation of the vitality and importance of the Outdoor and Sport sectors as an economic and strategic driving force for the future. The Italian Outdoor Group has always been acutely aware of this fact and this forms the base for group's action which, at Munich, exhibited with all its members.

With more than 80,000 visitors from 106 countries and 2267 exhibitors, ISPO 2011 concluded with a 25% growth compared to last year. Italy is one of the main countries which participate in the fair, and the success echoes the positive atmosphere and optimism which could be felt at Munich. Once again ISPO proved to be a meeting point which united the entire outdoor world.

As usual, the Italian presence was extremely lively and numerous with the participation of specialised companies and also the main Italian retail network which is always up-to-date about the latest novelties and products. Because this is one of the fundamental functions of the ISPO, just like the other trade fairs: generate exchange of information, knowledge and updates, not only about the evolution and progress of this sector on a world level but also its future prospects. And, after this ISPO, the Outdoor future cannot be but positive.

Italian Outdoor Group and the trade fairs:

"Our IOG association supports the ISPO Munich and OUTDOOR Friedrichshafen trade fairs, as we believe that our role now is even more important than before, above all for independent, specialised shops which need to remain updated and watch out for the latest products to remain competitive in an increasingly competitive market. The companies we represent exhibit at the trade fairs, investing heavily to offer their clients maximum visibility of their products and trademarks; it's a shame so few Italian companies participate. I hope that in the future all will be more attentive and that our shop keepers learn to appreciate the opportunities the fairs offer."
